10. YakFace (Saelt-Marae – Vintage Power Of The Force, 1985)

Yak-Face Saelt-Marae- Value
Saelt-Marae has only appeared twice in Star Wars movies, he first appeared onscreen in Jabba’s Palace in Return of the Jedi. During production of the movie Saelt-Marae was given his nickname Yak Face. His real name wasn’t known until about a decade later in the 1997 Star Wars Trilogy Sourcebook, Special Edition. But by then, the nickname Yak Face had become well-known.

Kenner produced the first YakFace action figure in 1985, and found themselves with boxes of completed YakFace toys with nowhere to send them, since the Star Wars toy line was cancelled. They came up with a great solution and sent these boxes of figures to Canada and some other countries in Europe. The figure was never formally released in the USA.

Estimated Value: $2,300

Update We have heard from various source that YakFace was indeed available in the USA, mainly in the Pacific Northwest.

9. R2-D2 Lunch Box 1977

R2D2-Thermos Value

The King Seeley Thermos Company had a plan to make the 1977 kids even more stylish with the R2-D2 lunchbox . Cool huh?  The lunchbox came complete with a zip off head for food or your favorite Star Wars toys.

These lunch boxes are extremely rare because only 12 prototypes were ever made, The king Seeley Company decided not to go ahead with the production of these lunch boxes. When it comes to lunch boxes, this is one of the most sought after of them all because not only is it a rare Star Wars collectible, it is also a rare lunchbox. No one ever found out why this prototype wasn’t produced but with such high demand for this one, they would have made a lot of bank.

Estimated Value: $2,700

8. Vlix (Star Wars: Droids – Vintage Droids, 1986)

Vlix Star Wars Value

Vlix is not well know so you may have never even heard of him. In the 80s Vlix appeared on the show called Star Wars: Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO. VLIX was part of the cancelled second wave of figures in the 1986 Star Wars: Droids toy line.

Vlix is so rare, any condition is valuable.

Estimated Value: $4,000

7. Obi-Wan Kenobi (Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi – Vintage Star Wars, 1978)

SW-BenKenobi Value
In 1977 Kenner produced this double telescoping Obi-Wan action figure and it was released in 1978. The action figure is more valuable than the double telescoping Luke Skywalker, since Luke was the star of the show Kenner made a lot more of him, making the Obi-Wan action figure rarer.

All the lightsabers in the 12-Back collection had  a double-telescoping lightsaber at first, but these were very delicate so Kenner actually decided to change it before the product was shipped. A few of them were actually made though, less than 5 in fact.

Estimated Value: $6,500
